Meet the Team

 

Kaitlyn McCabe

Clinical Psychologist

BaPsych, BPsychSc (Hons), MPsych (Clinical)          

 

Kaitlyn is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from RMIT University. Kaitlyn has a range of experience working with both children and adults in community, education, and hospital settings. Prior to her time at From Little Things Psychology, Kaitlyn worked for several years at Northpark Private Hospital on their Mental Health Inpatient Ward. In this role, Kaitlyn became well practiced at supporting patients with complex mental health needs.

Kaitlyn specialises in working with clients of all ages who experience, mood, anxiety, personality and trauma related disorders. Kaitlyn focuses on building comfortable and friendly relationships with her clients, while using evidence based interventions to create meaningful change. 

​

Kaitlyn uses the following evidence-based treatment modalities:

  • CBT

  • ACT

  • DBT

  • Schema Therapy

Brigitte Caruana

Clinical Psychologist

BPsychSc, BPsychSc (Hons), MPsych (Clinical)

 

Brigitte is a Clinical Psychologist who has extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and families across a wide range of settings. With a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, Brigitte is dedicated to providing evidence based, best practice psychological services and working collaboratively with families, schools, and other health professionals. Outside of From Little Things Psychology, Brigitte works in a paediatric outpatient hospital where she provides one-on-one psychological intervention and is also involved in a range of specialist clinics, such as an autism assessment clinic. Prior to this, Brigitte has also worked in private clinics and schools across Melbourne.

Brigitte strives to connect with warmth and compassion, and she is committed to building a strong, safe therapeutic relationship, as evidence shows this is a crucial foundation for positive change. Similarly, her therapeutic approach draws upon a range of evidence-based treatments that keep the unique needs of the client firmly in mind, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

She has a particular interest in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties with Mood, Anxiety and Worry, Specific Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Grief and Loss, Trauma and Life Adjustments (including adjustments to medical diagnoses), Social difficulties and Behavioural Challenges, Body Image Concerns, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Brigitte has a genuine desire and passion to help empower children, families, and the community to help ensure that the best positive outcome is achieved for each young person.
